Planning Your Visit Facts:
  • Field Trips are available beginning Sept 2, 2008
  • Two exhibit time frame options are available:
    9:30-11:30 a.m. or 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
  • Omni Theater time options:
    10, 11:05 a.m., 12:10 p.m.

One call does it all for both Museums!

  • For groups of 15 or more, contact Group Services two weeks in advance.
  • Book your reservations as soon as you receive the school program planner.
  • Reach us by phone at 817-255-9440 or toll free at 888-255-9300 ext. 440.
  • Calls will be happily taken between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
  • To fax a request, Reservation Form - PDF and fax it to 817-255-9307.

NEW! • Tuesday morning PK-1 Visits - Plan your visit during quieter days (generally Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday). If you need assistance, call our early childhood specialist at 817-255-9416.

We encourage you to make your reservation early to secure your preferred date and time!


When you call, tell us:

  • The date preference for your field trip
  • Time frame preference for your field trip:
    9:30-11:30 a.m. or 11:30 a.m. -1:30 p.m.
  • Time frame preference for the Omni:
    10, 11:05 a.m or 12:10 p.m.
  • Have alternative dates and times in mind
  • Group organizer’s name, school name, address, city, zip code, phone number, and ESC Region
  • Number of students, grade level and any special needs
  • Program choices
  • Number of required chaperones (free admission)
    - Minimum one-to-ten ratio for grade levels 1-12
    - Pre-K- K requires one chaperone to six students
  • Require additional chaperones? Discuss your needs with Group Services.

Now what?

To help you be prepared, organized and familiar with our policies and procedures, we will mail you a Pre-visit Planner that includes:

  • Reservation confirmation policies and payment procedures
  • Directions and parking information
  • Chaperone information
  • Store information
  • Visit www.fortworthmuseum.org and www.cowgirl.net for pre-visit and post-visit activities.

Just a reminder:

  • Membership benefits are not valid for school visits.
  • Photography is allowed in designated areas only.
  • Storage space is not available for lunches or backpacks. Please leave them on the bus.
